Life is a strange place, the world is...
Inventions and advances has always been a part of human nature
there are pivotal points in time where our minds have changed everything as we knew it.
With industrialisation society changed and the way people lived changed with it
from an agrarian close knit community where people depended on one another
and generations lived togeather
we made a world where you often find yourself fending on your own,
where children are sent away at day and so are the elderly, so that focus can be on producing.
Where its quite possible to have almost no safety net at all.
The beauty of man is her ability to adapt, create and survive
and to now use technology to in a way set things right and bring back
what we probably in our hearts and souls miss...our family...our community..
but in a new way...
is mindboggeling.
I work full time, I get the kids from their afterschool activity and I go home.
I cook and clean the house, wash the clothes, feed the bunnies, sort all the schoolbags
and brush all teeth and tuck the kids in....
Then there is just me and an empty house.
by then it's late, I have a workday tomorrow and just a moment to spend...
I turn on my computor
and all of a sudden my house is filled with people,
with friends from all over europe.
We talk and play games and spend time
the little time I have...and there is no need to go out, to get a babysitter....
and the commitment can be 2 hours or 10 minutes
life circumstances can decide.
I recharge my batteries....
go to bed smiling and wake up ready for a new day.
My dad sometimes says about my time spent online,
that I should get out more into real world instead...
For me its the other way around...because I have to spend so much time alone
in the real world, I'm happy to have my online community there when I need a break from it all.
And they are not pretend friends in a pretend world,
They are real people who stand by me in anything and have done so many of them for years.
